A Restaurant in Athens

Last night, after a long time business meeting, I was lucky enough to visit the AGORA Restaurant at the center of Athens, near Hilton Hotel.

Nice environment, reminding me good Italian restaurants abroad. Their food is offered in american style portions! Yes, big portions with good quality ingredients. Estimate around 20 euros per person. Their (house) red wine was also fine.

From their menu, I enjoyed the fresh made Gnocchi with chicken. My colleagues tried the following dishes:  baked (sxaras) bifteki  and baked turkey both accompanied with chips and salad.

From their starters, the souvlaki vegetables is good and far excellent was the feta with honey! Go for it!

Thus, if you are in Athens, looking for a good food restaurant, visit them. They are a decent restaurant at the center of Athens.

Kings of Convenience

I love the Whitest Boy Alive project, but the Kings of Convenience are also rather elegant and clever:

Enjoy! I still remember when I bought their cd from a store in Joordan.

Lets talk about Brazil

Well, is it so easy to talk about Brazil?  Definitely not, due to its long history (especially the modern past) and due to its so unique Demographics is rather impossible in a brief post to highlight everything about Brazil.

Therefore, this time I will focus on Ceara and essentially about Fortaleza! Fortaleza is the 5th largest city of Brazil and it is rather well know for its beach.

As many sea coasts in Brazil, Fortaleza's beach is surrounded by the main city including the classic Brazilian skyscrapers.

On the other hand, Canoa Quebrada  is another unique Ceara's beach and an international tourist beach resort 164 km from Fortaleza.

Definitely attractive desitinations.

Now if you are looking to buy a property/house in this area, then the New International Properties can server any request. Please note that they have many open projects, especially in Ceara region.

Personally, I have started thinking to move to Brazil :)

Greek Banks

No! this post is not about the Greek? yes, better, the global financial crisis. We wish to keep this post, just informative for those visiting Greece soon and they wish to have some information about financial services in Greece.

You will meet rather many Eurobank branches everywhere in Greece and especially in Athens. Their website is: http://www.eurobank.gr Eurobank belongs to Latsis family, a famous multi billionaire Greek Family.

Eurobank's strong point is their stable Online Banking Services that definitely you will find useful.

Eurobank has recently merged with the following Alpha Bankhttp://www.alpha.gr/

Alpha bank started as a small bank and over the years succeeded to be one of the major financial groups in Greece, operating mainly in Balkans: Romania, Bulgaria, Albania and the Midle East. They operate offices also in London.

A bank that you definitely heard about is the National Greek Bank, where its main offices are near the parliament. Their website is bit poor and it seems to service mainly Greek Customers :) http://www.nbg.gr/

A rather new bank compared to the history of the other banks is the Trapeza Peiraios http://www.piraeusbank.gr/ . Over the past years were quite popular operating also in other countries like England promoting Greek Tourism and Greek Real Estate. At the moment, they try to find their way out from the Greek Financial crunch. They have solid Internet Banking services.

Now, if you are looking for international banks here are some:

- HSBC has several branches in Athens, and its main office is located in a walking distance from Syntagma, at Vopukourestiou. Their main office looks quite similar with the ones that you have been used in your countries, thus you will feel already safe. http://www.hsbc.com

- Geniki Trapeza, the Greek Branch of the French Societe Generale Financial Group.  http://www.societegenerale.com/ http://www.geniki.gr/

- Emporiki Bank, another French Operated Bank in Greece belonging to the Credit Agricole group.  http://www.emporiki.grhttp://www.credit-agricole.com/en

Now if you are more interested about Greek Banks and you wish to know even the small ones, Agrotiki Trapeza is one. Both the National Bank and the Agrotiki Trapeza are public banks whereas the others are private ones.

I hope that you found these lines interesting. For more information, please get adviced from here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_banks_in_Greece
